I want to say hello to all of you who are recent to the site and are new in your quits. I used to be on here allllll the time, because it was my lifeline. I'm glad to see that there are so many caring for each other on here. Now, I just pop in once in a while to let people know that you can do this!
In December, I will be quit for 2 years. I NEVER would have thought I would have made it, but with goal setting, soul searching, and an I-won't-fail-attitude on my last (current) quit, I did it. I live with a smoking husband and I never ever want it.
Hang in there. You will do this! I did it cold turkey, because that was best for me, but you do what works for you. My kids are slowly forgetting that they ever had a smoker for a mom, and that is wonderful for me, because two of my kids are teenagers and I want them to know by my example that life is better smokefree.
Love yourself. Honor your body. Stay quit.
I'd rather be an ex smoker with the occasional desire to smoke than be a smoker with the constant desire to stop doing it.
