Tonight I passed a test for myself. I was stressed to the max and couldn't get on here. I first want to say I did not smoke. I wanted to and I could have but I did not. I am proud of myself and relieved that feeling is gone. I was stressed over getting dinner made and watching three kids at the same time. I know that seems like little stress but it was enough for me to want to pull my hair out. That is the small enough kind of stress that would have set me back in the past. Not today. I told myself it wasn't worth giving up 43 days free over. My friend Tara was here with her husband and she smokes. Menthol I might add. That's my weakness. I just told her to smoke a couple extra puffs for me. I shouldn't be promoting smoking when I am trying to quit. But hey I got through the moment. Well I just wanted to report in. Have a great night all.

I'm so proud of the choice you made. It would have been so easy to go the other way. You stood up for yourself and what you really want and that's just awesome! "When you quit, your forevers will come to you."

Susie,
You did great! I know what you mean about menthol, I smoked them for 43 years...well 40 anyway, smoked non- menthol before that. I have to tell you that I am so glad I can say smoked instead of smoke. Keep going one day at a time, sometimes one moment at a time. Before you know it, you will destest the smell, look and sound of cigarettes either smelling somone who smokes, looking at a woman who lights up or the sound of someone lighting up. Its funny but now, when I see a woman smoke I think, I feel sorry for her. I do for guys too, but its the women I really feel badly for for some reason. Can't give you a logical reason why!??? 43 years of the nasty habit was beaten and I truly never thought I could!!!

You did it!!! And you can do it again and again. In no time at all it won't even be an option. It gets so much easier.
Be very proud. That was huge. coach

I don't think anything wrong with asking her to puff for you, she is still smoking.
