Just got back from a very long, uncomfortable visit with the ENT...seems she has a new treatment plan she would like me to try..A very "Aggressive" treatment (her words)..so for the next few weeks I will be on 4 medications and 1 includes a sinus form of delivery that I experienced in her office today and all I can say is She seems to think that without this treatment things won't go so well for my future..but with it I may actually have more of a future than originally predicted..so what the heck I am in..GAME on as they say...Not looking forward to it as some of the medicines have some severe side effects and will make me sicker before better...My Babe and I have a hard time understanding why our medical practices still seem as though they are from the dark ages!!! And why do the medicines make us so damn sick!! I would not have considered the medicine  if she hadn't made things sound so dire...*sigh* My turn I guess to ask for prayers and candles....Wish me strength to stick with this program...I promised my family I would do whatever I can within reason..I am still doing all the holistic things too so maybe the combination will win the war...ok Time to get started...(crossing all my parts that are crossable) Oh yeah she also said that quitting smoking is enabling my body to fight for itself and heal more effectively That was cool to hear!!!

For the new people who think all of this sounds like a code! I was diagnosed with cancer of the vocal chords in 2008 and refused traditional treatment ie surgery, chemo and radiation...I have tried, juicing, sugar free diet, alkaline diet, dandelion root, essiac tea and a special juice we drink called 'ageless'...and of course mind over matter!!!which I will always believe is 50 % of the battle!!!

If I had of quit smoking in 1999 when the doctor first told me what was happening to my vocal chords and lungs I would not be dealing with this now...so if your health is still good QUIT NOW..and if it's not QUIT anyway and give yourself a fighting chance!!!!

Take care my QSJ family....and DONT smoke....

~Cami~

Do whatever seems right to you, good luck with the treatments my fingers are xxxxxxxxxxxxx for you. I met a man a few years ago, every  time I saw him he was whistling and singing he went around his neighborhood mowing everyones grass for free,he told me a year earlier he had been sent home to die, he had cancer of the throat he could not talk or eat solids, he had went back in to be checked and they could no longer find a sign of cancer.

I hope that a year from now they can no longer find a sign of cancer in you

It's often a comfort knowing that God never gives us more than we can handle.  Remember that when you're at your weakest and know that he's here for you!  Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!

I'd like to send this to viewers choice NOT to hurt you by spreading your news, but to let other people know just how important it is to QUIT!  As hard as it is, we must listen to our doctors at times.  I'm glad you've given it thought and made your decision.  Hoping for only the best and we are all here for you!!!!  (((hugs)))  I wish you knew what an impact you've had on me and how you've touched me in so many ways!  Luv ya!!!

You know that you have my prayers.

Do what it takes Cami.
My good friend just finished radiation to the throat and is free and clear now.
She gained weight of all things and is walking 5-7 miles a day now.

My hand to yours.

Medications for treating cancer can be fairly debilitating when you are taking them but, if they help, it is worth going through the treatment.  Had a client who had the same thing as you and while he hated having the treatment and felt pretty horrible for a while, he is well 8 years on from there.  You are such a strong lady and are doing everything you can to help yourself.  I'm glad you decided to go with the treatment.  Hang in there.  Sending big  (((((((((HUGS))))))))) your way and will keep you in my prayers.

My prayers are with you Cami.  Keep those positive thoughts going and I am sending more your way, can you feel it (teeheehee).  I too believe in the power of positive thinking.  Treatment sucks but the outcome will make it worth it.  ((((((((((BIGHUGS)))))))))

Damn it.  Why do bad things happen to good people?  Rhetorical question.  Bad things happen to all of us.  I read a passage in my Simple Abundance book the other day that said something like....Lord help me now until you help me later.  Wish I could remember it exactly.  What it meant to me was to help someone get through the tough times to get to the good times.  I pray for you sweet Cami.  I pray that these meds and all the other good things you do for your body heal you.

I have a friend who had vocal cord cancer about 12 years ago.  She is completely fine.  I know you will be too.

Sending you love.
Vicki

I feel I can write you a prayer here and you would be okay with it.
  Dear Lord,
My friend is in a storm unlike any I have faced. The only way I know to help her is to tell her how faithful you are in my storms. Please calm her heart as only you can.     Amen

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comforts; who comforts us in all our affliction so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the confort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.
                      2 Corinthians 1: 3-4

Thanks for being here for me. I am praying for you...Hugs

Today is a good day for I woke and didn't smell roses or hear organ music, which means God has given me another day.

How are you doing? I am praying for you my friend! Let me know how treatment is going. You can do this, Cami!

Yes, when you move to California we must get together. I know we would have a great time.
