Hi everyone. I've kept up here for awhile, but hten life gets in the way again. This past week has been hectic. I wanted less hours with my job, so I can re-focus on our business, but since the chef is leaving, he decided to reward everyone with more hours. Kinda a kick in the owners face, I believe. He knows everone has been not getting alot of hours, and of course no overtime, and that is part of the reason he's leaving, so he is getting in his last kick in the pants while rewarding his employees. He's a doll.
Only thing is, I'm getting too old for 11 hour days. Sigh. I kinda hope to get less, (he doesn't know that.) I know I should be grateful for the hours, but with no dishwasher like yesterday,a busy lunch, setting up and teardown and setting up. I'm frigging exhausted.
Anyway, this wasn't meant as a bitch fest. I just wanted to share that today I am exactly one month short of my four year mark as a non-smoker. YeaH!
Thanks Betsy again, for always remembering everyone's lunaversary. YOu are awesome.
Love you guys. When ii get a moment, I will be back to read all your journals and give you hugs
Heidi Lots of hugs

Your not getting to old for the days.....
You are getting to old to "appreciate" the 11 hour days
and at your age, you don't feel the need to
do things you don't truly appreciate

quit date--Dec 26, 2007
hold on tight to your dream,,,,

You need to find some time to relax. 11 hour shifts don't allow you to do that. Congratulations on your four-year quit! That's wonderful! I'd rather be an ex smoker with the occasional desire to smoke than be a smoker with the constant desire to stop doing it.
