Thanks to everyone who wrote. Yeah I guess today is day 2. Chantix works for me just makes me really sick to my stomach. It does take will power too cause I still really want to smoke the urge just isn't as strong. What is hard for me is when I am upset or mad it is hard not to smoke. Don't know how to overcome that one. It is like I rely on them when I am mad even though they don't make it any better. My boyfriend hates that I smoke and some of the reason I decided to quit is for our relationship, but sometimes I find that I want to smoke when I am mad at him to make him angry and realize that I am only hurting myself. WOW!!! Too many thoughts. Good Luck to everyone also.

You are doing great. Day 2 is a hard day, you are proud you made it through the first day but wonder if the rest of the days will feel like day 1.
Each day it gets a little bit easier. I'm on day 24. I still have craves, but they are less severe.
You are diong great !!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Glad you still taking the Chantix. I used to get stomach cramps so bad when taking it I had to lay down for a while afterwards. Just make sure your taking it will food. A piece of bread or roll worked really well for me, or maybe it was just an excuse to have some carbs.
Hand in there, you can do it! Have a good afternoon. "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are right."

Yes Danielle, that is one of the many uses we had for cigarettes -- crutches. I have a real hard time with anger, too & I could not see myself living without cigarettes, because how would I muffle my anger, how would I get by those times? Well, I am not sure how I did it, but I have. It just happened. I have learned to explain myself when I am angry, not holler & its much more effective. But o those cigarettes, they were my anger sticks, my stress sticks, my crutches in many, many ways. Now -- looking back -- it seems almost silly, if it weren't so serious that it took me 45 years to figure it out.
Hang in. You can do it!
