Doctor's visit went pretty well today. Luckily, I haven't gained any weight since I've been home. Lost a total of only "18" pounds the past two weeks while I was sick, but I guess that's better than nothing. I just hope I can keep it off. The steroids make me so hungry! Sugar levels are good. Going to try and get some work done tomorrow. I get really weak, but the only way to improve is to push myself a little. The doctor was even nice enough to give me a lot of sample medications to help out with the expenses. Several of mine are around $300 per month so every little bit helps. They're so nice to me there!

My meeting went really well on Friday and the big contract looks pretty promising. I know I need my strength to get this off the ground and running. It will be tough at first, and then hopefully I'll have the right staff to get it done. I have to have my proposal in by Friday. Working on it a bit tonight. My plan is to be less "hands on" and more supervising as the months go by. Not trying to sound lazy, but I have to be realistic. I've always had trouble "delegating" work because I'd rather do it myself to be sure it was done right. Now I need to learn to let go a little and make others accountable. It's going to be hard, but it's that time in life. My girls suggested it and said they'd do just fine if I'd give them a chance. I think they notice I'm not getting any younger. LOL

Well, my break time is over. Hope everyone's having sweet dreams!  Going to go work on this proposal then off to bed I go. Hope I can hang in there tomorrow. Wish me luck!

Oh yeah, no matter how tough it gets NO SMOKING!!!

Thanks for the get well message on my entry. Yes time flies, but I still remember all your encouraging words as if it was yesterday.

Want to wish you luck, remember supervising, leading, and delegating are all skills and challenges you can look forward too, and you can still feel very proud of a good job done by others that you've co-ordinated. I know what you mean though.

Good luck too with keeping those sugars under control, sounds challenging in itself.

Thanks again, and thinking of you.

Wishing you continued recovery, Sherri!  That was nice of the doctor to give you some sample meds, it's crazy how expensive prescriptions are.

Remember when you delegate, sometimes people are looking for more to do and are flattered to be trusted with the responsibility.  You deserve a break!
