Couldn't think of what to put in the subject matter so that will have to do.  Thought I should post again otherwise I would find myself deleted from QSJ.  Although I haven't been here much I have been keeping myself updated with how you are all going.  Been feeling guilty about not posting and responding to others.  Feel I should be giving back to the place that helped me so much.

One of my sisters has been in hospital for four weeks but is back home now and sounding much better.  One of my nephews had a cancer scare (I've got quite a few of them, nephews I mean).  He'd been suffering with ear problems since last November.  He had a scan and they found a mass behind his ear.  Had an operation where they went in through the ear canal to get a sample of the mass.  It wasn't cancerous as the surgeon though it was, turned out to be some sort of fungus.  They then had to drill through the bone behind his ear to get it all out.  He had a burst ear drum back in November and somehow the fungus must have got in there and started growing.  Horrible to think of but a much better option than cancer.  We are all very relieved.

May be going to China next year with my eldest sister.  Her son is a teacher and he is going to teach at an international school over there.  He is supplied with a two bedroom apartment so he will be having a couple of guests, namely my sister and me, to stay for a little while.  Hate flying but I would not want to miss seeing another country because of my fear of flying.  Will just have to put on my big girl boots and get over that fear.

Have been having a few ups and downs but all in all, things are going okay with me.  Am thinking of bringing on my retirement a little earlier than I planned.  Most of the money I will have for my retirement is tied up in my superannuation and with the way the world is at the moment, I don't want to see that money dwindle away.  I would rather get my hands on it and manage it myself.  Can't take the money out until I retire and seeing how the stock market has been lately, I'd rather have it in my own hands rather than seeing it go down like it did during the financial crisis.  Don't want to work until I'm 90.

That's enough of a ramble from me.  Keep enjoying your smoke free life.

Dewey

hi Dewey glad you nephew is fine. I went to China a couple of years ago and loved it. I don't like flying either I went went to my doctor and he was from Vietnam. He said I would love China I said I would like it a lot better if i didn't have to fly he said oh just take a sleeping pill an hour after you take off and you'll sleep for most of the flight and arrive rested and ready to go. he gave me a script for two pills and i took 1 on the trip over and  one on the trip back and it  was the best flight I ever took LOL.

As far as the stock market,
I pulled out here in the US a few years ago...
Lost enough by then,
should have pulled out before I did.
But atleast I didn't lose it all.

Post again when you get the chance...
Always GREAT to hear from you!
Any more plans about building that straw house of yours??

(((BIG HUGS)))  I am such a bad friend!  I should have emailed you and checked on you!  There's been a lot going on here too.  I have thought of you many, many times and wondered how you were doing.

Glad your sister and nephew are doing ok.  What a relief!

CHINA?  CHINA?  I can't seem to make it to Australia and now you want to move to China?!?!  I think it would be great!  I also think early retirement might be a good idea.  Enjoy your money while you still have it!  Things are getting to be such a mess financially.

I hope you're having a good weekend!  It's beautiful weather here, but very humid the past few days.  I believe it's cold there now right?

Take care my friend and keep in touch!  (((hugs)))  Luv ya!

Very scary to think that some of the creatures living on the outside of us can live just as well on the inside of us! Bless him, I hope he and your sis are mending well. I don't get to post all that much here, either. I had a smoking issue this week, so thought I'd get in here and lend some support and help myself, as it happens.

The state of everyone's economy is a worry. I try to stay in today as much as I can. Might be the foolish thing to do, but I've got no money, cannot lay my hands on my retirement money, and wouldn't know what to do with money if I had it. But going to another country is top of list! I hope you get to go :)

Really nice to see you Dewey. Love and Light :)

Yay friend I have missed you.  Glad things are going well and really glad that your nephew did not have cancer.  Seems to be way too many people I know getting it.  China sounds wonderful, how fun for you.  I hit my 500 mark I'm sure yours is right around the corner.  So proud of all of us!!!
