Hello to all. I am on day 7 of my smoking cessation. I am currently using the Nicoderm Commit Lozenges. I am having phychological effects.  Anxiety and restlessness is extreme. I'm so use to going out for a cigarette break at work but i have to keep reminding myself that i do not smoke anymore.
Does anyone have any motivating advice on how I can keep my sanity?

What I had to do at work was to get outside on my breaks and walk briskly around the building and breathe deep. Sometimes I would just keep walking for a bit (something I never did while smoking--I'd just park my butt on a stone slab and suck two of them down). I also used what I call a mouth dummy for a while. Some people use straws or coffee stirrers or chew sticks. Mine was a long lipstick tube about the length of a cigarette. It had bite marks all on it, but it worked for me.

You can buy chew sticks in flavors at any health food store. They are thicker than toothpicks, and some have texture built in to give the tongue something to do   :)

Stay strong!

Try to distract yourself if possible , or just acknowledge you are having a crave and then move on-

Deep  breaths and a positive atttitude will be your best friend in the quit-

Time to celebrate your one week quit !!!
