Hi my screen name name is maxt0528, I have been smoking for 30 years.
I am now smoking Marlboro brand and 15 cigarettes per day,
at my worst I was smoking Marlboro brand and 30 cigarettes per day.
I want to quit smoking because I want to live and enjoy my grandchildren and see them grow up and I want to be able to play with them. I don't want to age twice as fast as I should. I just want to enjoy life without having a cigarette..
I started when I was 10 years old and have tried to quit 15 times before.

So happy you have made the decision to quit smoking. Although it is not easy it can be done. I quit Oct 5 2010 after 40 years of being a slave. My motto is N.o.p.e. Not one puff ever we are all only one puff away from a pack a day. come here often read the journals and post often we are all here to help. stay song you can do this!!!!!

congratulations on deciding to quit smoking! This place helped me quit...there are lots of folks with some very good tips and ideas...read and post in your own journal. I am sure it will be as helpful for you as it has been for me.
and, oh yeah, life is very good without smoking!

I believe it take's a "team" effort to quit and keep our quit's..As coach would say.."Everyone has to quit for themselves, But nobody has to quit by themselves!!" And I find this to be true..Again, Welcome to QSJ!! Hop on in and get to know us as we get to know you!!

I hope you are going to love it here as much as I do. This place is "family" in the very best sense of the word. We've never judge you, or let you down. Can I call you Max? I could never have quit without QSJ, as I had tried many, many times and always returned to the habit. But by coming here, writing, reading, asking for help I made it -- been quit for 2 years and 7 moonths. Never been proud of anything in my life.
