 Hi All,
Well my bloods were pretty good for one more round. I got my Procrit for my hemoglobin and will be doing that every week. Had both IV drugs also. Exam shows no change in liver when he taps on it. No hollow sounds for me. He found an enlarged lymph node in the left side of my neck but since I am blowing and coughing up clear yuk he is hoping it is just a cold or sinus problem.
The sweat just pours off my face but no where else. I am just getting to the point of why. I lost another friend to this desease on Friday. His was also in his lung. I am thankful my Higher Power has given all this extra time but I find myself asking why me. Each of us has a special purpose in this life to fulfill and I am getting even more anxious to know why for me. (Harvey I need a special prayer.) Please
I have so many prayers said and friends here, and some that do not heed my warnings as to what can happen. I try not to preach but life is the ultimate gift we are given and I for one threw mine away cause I did not quit smoking. Please think about it the next time you light up and then go to the sites that will best aid you in a permanent quit.
 Also Lindy has been sick since chemo last week and today they put a medi port in for easier access for chemo this week. So glad I have mine. I just talked to Sonny and he said she was OK and on her way home from the hospital. I will call later and make sure she is OK. Was not sure they would do it since she has been so sick and not even keeping fluids down. Please drop her a line and give her hope. She is really down.

Hi Karyn the good lord needed a messenger so he picked you and Lindy his two first choices,you did not throw your life away, your life is far from over theres a lot of work left to do,so you and Lindy need to finish off this cancer and continue to spread the word about this horrible addiction and the consequences.Keep up your fight you will win

It makes me so sad to read your posts, but at the same time it makes my heart smile knowing that you are here, you are so dear to all of us here and I hope that you know that, maybe we all have more than one purpose in our lives, I do believe that actually and one of yours is to be our journal angel. I know I screwed up royally recently, but honestly in my 1 year, 3 month quit you were most definately a driving force in my maintaining that quit. Unfortuneately, I screwed up, I gave in to the nicodemon and started again at a very hard and depressing time in my life, I gave up and just didn't care for a temporary moment and that is all it took. I promise in the next 2 weeks I will have a quit date, I am one of those that really needs to prepare, I am really confident that I can do it again and hopefully, now that i am on all the right meds for my manic and bipolar problems, I can keep it that way for good this time.
Thank you for being here, your presense is a beautiful and unselfish act. I will keep Lindy in my prayers as well.

Glad to see you post.........You and Lindy are so important to this site......It is hard to understand how anyone who reads your entries can ever pick up another cigarette......You two have suffered...and know first hand what this addiction can do... Why not you, to be given as much time here on earth as possible?- you are deserving Karyn , you truly are and you have helped so many not only here at QSJ but through your cancer sites and the Mayo- you have a huge family that loves you too pieces and so why not you :)) - I will light a candle now for you and for our Lindy - I hope she feels better soon - thanks for keeping us updated ! Karyn I think from all the many words above, there is surly a greater purpose for you... You are sharing the word and helping so many more than you know. Just as Lynn said you were very much a part of my quit. Yes, I blew it too and have to set my self back on the right track but your story is always on my mind.... That alone willlet me do it again and make it... never give up Hun, Your such a special person to so many of us here..... You are always in my thoughts..... Karyn,
I know you are now at peace. I understand how tired you were for the long hard fight that you had to endure, the last years of your life.
I have sat up for the last several hours reading every post you have made in your journal.
I have read your daughters post, and your granddaughters post. I have offered words of encouragement, understanding how they must feel. However, now that I have read your journal, I too feel as though I know you.
I kept seeing you ask why you were still here. I do not have answers for the higher power, and you now know the answer to the question. But dear friend, let me tell you that you have touched my heart in a way I could never explain. I could so much relate to you, in so many aspects. Thank You for sharing so much a part of your life, feelings, emotions, and pain with us. I will keep you close to my heart always.
As sad as I am that you are no longer with us, I also find peace in knowing that you can now enter into your lifes' next journey, without all of the chemo, or drugs. You gave cancer one heck of a run for it's money.
You have touched so many more lives than I beleive you know.
Thank You for leaving your wisdom with us.
