My office went out for a christmas party today.we had the gathering in a private room in a local pub. Where I live there is no smoking in any public building.anyhow it has been a long time since I have been in a pub.what I remember from years ago was how all u could smell when u walked in was smokem u could hardly breath. Now all u could smell was booze. I am not sure that was any better. What I also remember was how I would smoke nonstop when out in the pub. I don't know what I would have done if I still smoked and couldn't smoke when I was having a beer. I am so grateful that now that I don't smoke I don't have to worry about it. look to the rainbow, mars'

a very nice thing to "not have to worry about"
at least your clothes didn't stink when you got home
I don't think the "booze" smell gets in your clothes
like the smoke does

funny the things we worried about early on
'how can I go to a party and not smoke'
'I will never have fun if I can't smoke'
and look at us now
life is good
nice to see you posting mars'

HI Mars...
Florida has had this law for many years....and I must admit....it makes being an ex-smoker better...also, it is just more comfortable for everyone...!
Have a Merry Christmas.....!

Ditto to all you wrote...the clubs used to be so smokey that there was an actual smoke pall several feet thick that blanketed the entire room. When one looked up at the lights you could see it. I've not been out to a club in years. I bet there's a lot of unhappy smokers there.
I'm so glad I'm not one of them! hugs to you :) "When you quit, your forevers will come to you."
