My lost child Katie has connected with the family a bit.she left home at 15.she made some poor life choices. I have never really understood what happened that she went from a loving child who was loved and cherished to a street kid. Anyhow, we rarely see her. Well she is home for a few days we all had dinner together last evening and today they are coming out here.she is beautiful-a bit beautiful. She still lives on the street living a simple life.last night she said to me ....mom I love you. There could be no better gift in the world than hearing those words. I don't have a lot of expectations for her. It is easier that way. She will likely disappear as quickly as she came. I doubt she will be here for christmas but it doesn't matter. She is here now and that is all that counts. The smiles on her bros and sister's faces was a delight to see. The laughter and the teasing was so lifegiving. Will there be tears in the future - likely. But for now kt is here and that is all that counts. look to the rainbow, mars'

I'm so glad that your lost child has come home, even for a little while. I've often thought of the parents of the kids that I see on the street here in the city. Now I will think of you every time I see a lost child. My heart is with you, sweetheart.

What an amazing amazing attitude. Its easy to think that is how you would like to be - much harder to pull it off - No recriminations - you just enjoyed her. Loving children can be bitter sweet. I am glad you are getting this time together. "Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon." Don't know who said it first but I like it.

I have a 'lost' child like that myself. I guess I am the lucky one because for thanksgiving she gave me a grandson and now she has moved back in with me. I feel your pain though I know what your talking about. ~Hi my name is Wendy and I am a quitter!~

Your angel came home.
If even but for a little bit.
But none the less, forever your angel.
Somehow I think she knows (or soon will know) the love within your heart.

I'm happy for you Mars. Even though this moment is good, you've had more than your share of difficult things in life to deal with. Charlene
