I'm wondering why I can spend a hour watching the ocean, while I can get bored in five minutes watching a movie that cost million$ to make.

Because movies are racey, we have enough raceyness in our lives. The ocean is soothing, calming, like being rocked in our mother's arms as infants. Must be where that calm comes from!
