Yes, it is that time again!!!!!!!! A time for loving, caring and looking at past holiday times...Our village is a wonderful mixture ot people who care for each other no matter how or if they celebrate the days..Having many "elders" we have lost some friends here, and have shown concern and love for those who have had to spend time in the hospital. It is like a family in many ways. I spoke to a gent yesterday, whom I suspect has traumatic stress syndrome, having been in the conflict in Korea. He has 3 sons, all in the middle east working for the govenment. He stopped to tell me how much he enjoys my "Christmas tree"...lights strung in my gardenia bush. I was honored, as he rarely speaks to anyone...He is all alone and had had all his Christmas decorations stolen before coming here. It made me happy......
This is the second holiday without himself. I miss him terribly, but try to remember all the wonderful times we had together...No one can take memories away....At times, I feel his presence.
My granddaughter will be here for several days and we are all going out Christmas eve for dinnner...Christmas day we will be at my daughter's home...
It has been a busy month. Many musical groups have sung and played for us. There have been festive dinners...including our families..and outings to see the holiday lights. Meeting every aun down. now to see the lighting of the Menorah..
My wish for all of you...enjoy every minute with your family and let them know how much you love them..Prepare yourselves for a happy New Year....hoping the New Year will be ever better . Blessings to all!!!!!!!!!!
