I know it has been so long since Ive posted - I miss you all terribly and please know you are in my thoughts everyday. As I look on the front page there are few names I recognize - that tells me its been too long!!
Things are going good on the no smoking front - I am currently on day 1047!!! Most days I dont even think about smoking anymore and the craves are farther and farther apart now and only last for a few seconds as a fleeting thought, not the 35 minute torture that it was 1000 days ago!
For my 1000 days of no smoking my family took me to a mineral spa for a long weekend! It was so nice to get away - spend time in the pool, with family and friends, and the best part - spa treatments!! Some would say the cake was the best part, but with my gastro issues I couldnt even eat the cake! (Its the thought that counts though - right?!?!)
As far as my medical issues - we are making progress - things are way better than they were, but still barely tolerable. I have POST CHOLECYSTECTOMY SYNDOME and IRRITABLE BOWEL SYNDROME. I have tried a multitude of different dietary strategies over the years and none completely work. Each one I seem to learn a little more about my body and there are a few things I can take away from each!
The most current diet is low fiber, low sugar, low fat, NO Caffiene, regular sodium intake and 2-3L of water a day. anyone know any good recipies?!?! LOL!! Things cant get worse so Im willing to try anything!!
Tomorrow is my first day back to work in 10 days. I was hospitalized due to dehydration (again). I am excited and nervous about going back. I talked to my staff today and they are looking forward to having me back and so are the children!
Just thought I would check in and give an update - I have had a couple emails in the last week from QSJ people wondering how I am doing.
Hope everyone is doing well in their quits - hang in there - it can only get better!!!
Quit date: July 14, 2007
