 Morning All,

Well, here I am on 79 days celebrating 2384 cigs NOT smoked!!

After my little glitch on Sunday, I have gotten right back on the quit train and have absolutely NO desire to touch a cigarette again.

Every day that goes by without touching a cigarette is cause for celebration.

I am going to keep kickin Nico in the backside every minute, every hour, every day.

Don't dream up thousands of reasons
why you can't do what you want to; find one reason why you CAN.

Hi Ozzy

RYN Thank you

I found this great site it is http://nutritiondata.self.com/ , some of the things I have learned from it really help me. Just as an example did you know that a sweet red pepper or tomato is much more nutritious then an apple or orange, plus both peppers and tomatoes make losing weight easier then apples or oranges do.

I read your reply where you say that you have cut out your snacking and now eat fruits and vegetables, I do not eat fruit just vegetables they are easier on my stomach, very tasty and as I learned more nutritious and promote more weight loss then fruit, plus I do not run around all day feeling hungry enough to eat one of those South African snakes.

It is harder for a lady to lose weight then it is for a man, men tend to have more muscle then women do and muscle requires more calories so men can eat more and gain less.

This is what I do I wake up in the morning and go to the kitchen to start my coffee, while there I have one ounce of orange juice just to freshen my breath. I drink my coffee while checking my e-mail and then have two hard boiled eggs, I do not eat again until around 12:30,  1:00 and then I have a vegetable platter of red peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes that keeps me going until dinner at around 5pm. I have a varied dinner exercising portion control. Later in the evening I usually have a cup of coffee and a bag of pop corn. My daily calorie intake is under 1000 calories and the best thing is I maintain high energy levels with little to no craving.

I switched from 1.5 tea spoons of sugar in my coffee to 1/2 teaspoon of Truvia, Truvia is an all natural sweetner that contains no calories.

Next week I am going to knock off the extra walking and watch what happens with my weight I think it will continue to go down just a little slower

We developed the QSJ slip policy because we could see that just one slip was leading to full time smoking and since we put the policy into effect it has helped many people maintain and go on to long quits.

I really think you are doing great quitting smoking and losing weight at the same time is a real accomplishment. You should be proud of the progress you are making celebrate it every day
