There is no magic formula

I used to say to myself every weekend that I would quit on Monday and then when Monday came there was always some excuse - too many things to do at work, I couldn't concentrate if I quit then, all those clients wanting their urgent work out today (or preferably yesterday). So my next step was on a Tuesday - Tuesday came and went and I was still smoking. Then I though I would try quitting on a weekend but, then I had too much time to think about smoking, I would leave it until a Monday. Same old story on Monday, etc, etc.
There is no magic formula that allows you to quit smoking just like that. Maybe there are a fortunate few who just breeze through the first couple of weeks but they are few and far between. Unfortunately for the majority of us, its a rather painful experience. I always thought that someone would have to drop me off on a desert island and leave me there for about a month until I got used to the idea of not being a smoker. Like any addict, our drug of choice is just too easy to get access to and for smokers its legal.
In desperation I started searching on line for something to help me in the process of quitting and what should I find - QSJ. QSJ doesn't have any magic formula, just good, sound advice from some pretty wonderful people. Those wonderful people don't have any magic formula either but they will be there to help you through the process of quitting. Although when you first quit, you don't believe them when they say that you will some day "find your peace", if you persevere, you do find it and its a pretty wonderful place to be in.

Hmmm Dewey I don't know about that.. I have always felt there was something inately 'magical' about QSJ itself.. I know without this place and the people here I would probably still be a three pack a day smoker and hacking up a lung every morning or possibly dead!

LOL.. I was trying to figure it out also (candle tarts) but I think she was referring to some Scentsy wickless candle products I was going to be a distributor for but have since resigned from!! lol...Good to see you Dewey.. and we all helped each other achieve this amazing freedom:) I think of you often love!!!
