Don't know if the pictures will turn out okay but here's hoping. Were taken on the last evening of my week at Camp Eden in the Currumbin Valley (back in November last year - I'm a little late in letting you know how it went).
Had a marvelous time. Plenty of good organic food, exercise and wonderful relaxing massages, etc.
Even if you don't want to exercise, they have a sneaky way of making sure that you do. The cabins (beautifully fitted out and overlooking the bush) are up a long winding hill. The gym, treatment rooms, swimming pool and spa are all down the hill. You even have to walk down the hill if you want morning and afternoon tea. If you happen to be in the swimming pool in the morning then you have to walk up the hill again for lunch which is near the cabins. As well as going up and down the hill several times a day, went for plenty of bush walks, did stretching exercises every morning and had many swims. The treatments were to die for, well worth the expense. Even surprised myself and went on the flying fox, something I never thought I would be able to do as I am afraid of heights. Must be getting brave in my old age. I lost some weight even though I didn't set out to do that.
Went for a walk in the bush one night to see the glow worms. Didn't think we would be able to see many as it was a fairly moonlit night but just as we were coming to where the glow worms were, it clouded over and the bank beside a creek was just covered with them. A really spectacular sight. Just think, here we were looking at this magical sight and then our guide had to tell us that what was actually glowing was the worms bums. We were all rather worried about stepping on snakes but I think we made so much noise any snake around would have run for its life.
On the last day there, we got taken to the beach and did stretching exercises on the sand for about 45 minutes then had breakfast of blueberry pancakes and maple syrup, all different kinds of fruit and herbal tea. After this we went for a 40 minute walk along the beach and up Currumbin Creek where we then went kayaking. Was a wonderful morning.
Several of the people there were quitting smoking. No smoking is allowed at the centre and if you are found to have any cigarettes on you, you are asked to leave. People seemed to find it easier to stop smoking there. I suppose all meals were prepared for you, there was plenty to keep you busy and no one had cigarettes to temp you. You don't go outside the centre until the last day of your stay. I suppose if anyone really wanted to, they could always leave but after paying that much money (fortunately I got a 40% discount) I don't think may people would want to.
In the first picture, I'm the one second from the right in the white pants and brown and white blouse. In the second picture, I'm the one with the hand sticking up behind the big galoot lying across us. Was a really nice crowd, everyone got along well and the four men kept the ladies highly amused.

Looks and sounds like a really fun time Dewey!
Sounds like the place to go if you want to quit.
Did not like the sound of having to watch for
snakes when going on that walk lol.
You people and your snake country, glad I don't
have to worry about that unless I go walking in a
corn field (which I would NEVER do lol).
Have a great day!!!
Its really good to hear from you Roxanne

Sounds like you had a great time at camp. I don't think I've ever seen a glow worm I'm going to have to check and see if we have them in Canada. Have a great day or evening over there. Hey Dewey
So lovely to see your photo's!!! It is always so weird, but good, to see a fotie of a person you have been chatting to for a long time but have never met.
LOL at worms bums!! The camp looks absolutely fantastic and just the kind of place I would want to go to!
RYN I have found a new website called 'life's attitude' hence all the profound statements. lol.
I read your idea about camping around Oz. Wow. That sounds awesome. Will you go on your own or will you take a friend? Is it safe there to camp?

((Dewey)) Thank you Thank you for reminding me of how far I have come and how much I have to lose. Maybe that will be the kick in the pants I need. Maybe I needed to know that we are never 100% safe from our addictions or afflictions. Glad you are still in the game also.
