So glad today starts a new month with this air card
so I can post again without being charged an
exorbitant fee!

What's been going on with me?

Well, let's see.....

Enjoying this wonderful Winter we're having
here this year. One of very few where
I've been able to get out and walk the dogs.
Normally I'm curled up in front of the fireplace..
and not about to budge for nothin!

Had a set-back with my quit and have quit again.
This time I'm using just ecigs and have gone down
from 31 mg of nicotine, to 20 mg of nicotine so far.
For the first time I feel like Phil's cigarettes are
COMPLETELY safe from my wondering hands! lol!
I have no desire to smoke those nasty things when
I can vape chocolate, banana, and so many other
tastier flavors. We had some friends over for breakfast
this morning and they both smoke.  So I sat around the table
with three smokers, and used my 'ecig' instead with not the
first desire to reach for one of theirs.  I even showed
Melinda some info on ecigs as they are interested in
trying to get off cigarettes as well.

I had a colonoscopy done on the 10th of this month.
They found and removed three polyps. As far as I know
everything is fine, as I haven't heard back from the Dr.
As an aside, the Gastroendologist who performed
my screening asked me if I'd heard of the ecig as a
way to quit smoking.  I told him I had just started using it
and it seemed to be doing well for me. He said that
several people there at the hospital had quit smoking
by using it.  But anyway, that evening I was sitting around
thinking about my day and my quit, and I asked myself..
'what would I do if the test results from those polyps came
back as being cancerous?' There's no one I could blame
but myself if they had. And I'm sure it would be from
all the smoking I've done over the past 30 years.  And
there's nothing to say that I won't have problems later on
in life, even since I've quit now.  But I'm tired of screwing around!
I'm tired of taking chances with my life, I'm getting too
old to take the risk and the chance I'd be taking by
continuing to smoke.

So my new and FINAL quit date is:

Drum roll please!!

2~3~12 at 2:22am
