I screwed up something at work and am now feeling anxiety about it. I don't feel like I want to smoke which is good.  I always work very hard and I always feel guilty when I screw something up. I don't make mistakes that often. What I really need right now is for someone to tell me it's OK and overall I've done well and that one screw up is OK. The problem with this screw up is that it was stupid.
I'm actually very happy though that I don't feel like smoking.

Getting rid of the cravings that can never be satisfied.

Been there, done that, we all make mistakes.  I've worked in my job for 24 plus years and I still make mistakes on occasions, did just that last week.  Yes, its okay, one screw up is nothing in the scheme of things.

You work hard, you rarely make mistakes so what more could an employer want in an employee.   It was a mistake and not stupid.

You didn't feel like smoking which is wonderful.  Be proud of yourself.

Hey Memo

It is hard when we screw up at work, but we have all been there.  You are doing well, the fact that you are anxious and not smoking is fantastic!

Sucks when you make a mistake and keep asking yourself "why" it happened.  My sister has this saying, and sometimes she can be a pain in the butt with her "sayings" but here goes....

"Is it really going to matter or be worth wasting time over in 5 years from now?"

(I think I also heard Oprah Winfrey say something like this on one of her shows.)

We are all delighted that you did NOT smoke!  Try to forget it and move on.

Glad you felt like you could share it with us!  Take care and enjoy your weekend!

Just read your post in Spence's journal.  What a sweetheart!  I really love what you told him and hope it will help him in some way.  I hope he will soon realize that we ARE here for him.....Until then I guess we'll just have to say some prayers....
