So we have not done a Wondering Wednesday question lately !!

Here is mine for the day- I have been sick with the flu the last 3 days and was finally able to eat something real yesterday................of course I had the comfort food fall back - soup and sandwich combo....

My personal favourite.............

Cream of Celery Soup and my Monte Cristo Grill Cheese Sandwich ( w/bacon if tummy can take it)




So What is YOUR favourite combo ??

I love the "traditional" Monte Cristo sandwich
the only restaurants that still serve it seem to be
the coffee shops out on the strip
so whenever friends are in Vegas
and we meet in the coffee shop for a bite
I order it

peanut butter and strawberry preserves on soft white bread
was not only as unhealthy as can be,,,,
but was real comfort food

(it is so good that you are back here)

 All my sandwiches are on romaine lettuce now.  I make a wrap out of them or use it as a base.  Today was grilled ground sirloin burger with mushroom, onion and shredded cheese over a bed of romaine and tomato.  mmmmmm

Italian Wedding Soup is my favorite.

I love homemade potato soup when I am sick. Chicken noodle if it is canned. Grilled cheese. Get well Kathy!

Thanks Kathy~I know that I can overvcome this, but I can't help being dismayed at the fact that I even need to fight this long into it. I hate that such a disgusting habit can have this kind of allure after so much time! The truth is even the smell can get to me. It is so disgusting yet I mourn it right now. This to shall pass though right?

 canned cream of mushroom soup or Mom's homemade chicken/turkey soup with plenty of garlic.   

my fav sandwich keeps changing, right now it is bread mayo cheese and pickle.
