Like so many of us, I am traveling home to be with my family for Thanksgiving.I am traveling smoke free and thankful for so much in my life.
I was thinking about the lyrics to this song, Little Pink Houses, and how Mellencamp was talking about so many of us.Also, thinking about the mess this country is in and the hope that the recent election has brought.
America isn’t perfect, but for everywhere I've been, for all I've got . . . for all I've ever wanted . . . I've still got my "little pink house", and someone who loves me.It may suck at times - but aw, then ain’t we got it so good? Now, ain’t that America?
