My daughter Anastasia, after graduating with a BS in Applied Behavior Analysis in the spring decided to attend the Los Angeles campus of the Chicago School of Professional Psychology starting in September in a two year Master's program. Her goal is to apply these therapies to help autistic children. Much of this she is doing on her own, but her parents are assisting. Last month she and Janice flew to LA for a scouting trip, since our family knows nothing about LA except what we see in movies and TV. This week Anastasia and I drove to LA to get her car out here, find an apartment and a job. We still have some way to go but we are getting there.
On both trips we have been fortunate to spend a little time with QSJ's very own Scout (Carolyn). It has been fantastic to me to meet her after all these years (I guess around six) of being QSJ friends. But of course she has been very helpful (as a long term resident of the area) to help with selecting places to live and more importantly where not to live. We met up a few nights ago for some CalTex food and a couple of pics -

This has been most wonderful and the fun's not over. It's so nice to see, not only a QSJ friend but to help the second generation, so to speak. QSJ creates a bond between us that is as close as family and I love it when 'family' comes to visit.
