I will move next Wednesday....It is a real challenge...trying to coordinate all the deliveries, phone and tv connections, etc. I bought a new recliner and dinette set...new mattress... reupholstering my love seat, a new red coffee pot, red toaster, and red microwave for my kitchenette...It will perk me up in the morning..I hope!!!! It will be a hard day...giving Rico back to the lady from which I bought him....I still have stuff to get rid of in the house, so will be coming and going for a while...The house needs a lot of renovating...and hopefully will be ready to rent in a month or so...So many changes..and to think the 29th of August will be the anniversary of himself's passing...A new place...where no one has smoked...or will never smoke will be such a clean feeling.
Here's a chuckle for you!!Saw my Dr. yesterday.. We discussed my move, and he had a warning for me..The statistics for STDs in retirement homes is very high....Be sure and use protection!!!!! This blew me away....AS IF!!!!!!!!! I guess the adage fore warned is for fore armed has some merit!!! LOL!!!!!! Pykke

Pykke that is so funny. Your new places is going to be beautiful and fun! I wish you every happiness there and it is a really nice thought that you are going some place where no one has or ever will smoke. I wish you the best. It is unreal that himself has been gone for almost a year. Sept. 5 will be the 10 year anniversary of my dads passing and I just seems like yesterday. I miss him just as much today as I did 10 years ago. But life goes on and is full of many surprises.
P.S. Always remember that advice for your Dr. lol! Have fun!!! Roxanne

It seems like you've been really busy getting everything in order. I think you'll like fixing up your new place. I'm still out looking for my red toaster and can opener. I didn't realize there was a microwave too! I'm going to have to go on a shopping spree soon. Can I pick you up on the way? I think we'd have lots of fun!
Don't overdo it while moving. Just take a little at a time. Can't wait to hear from you when you get all settled. Remember we're thinking about you and watch out for those frisky fellows!
Hope to hear from you soon!

Thanks Pykke, you gave me my laugh for the day. I didn't realise that retirement homes could be such dens of iniquity. Just watch out that all those raging hormones don't catch up with you.
Your kitchen sounds as though it will be so bright and cheerful.
Like you, I will be starting a new phase of my life at the end of August. I'm retiring after working for 49 years. I'm looking forward to it though I'm sure I will have moments of wondering what to do with myself. My older sisters tell me that once I get have been retired for a while I will wonder how I ever had time to work.
Looking forward to hearing of your adventures in your new home.
Dewey
