On Wed,,,,we sometimes wonder about things
sometimes related to quitting,,,,
sometimes just personal stuff
so on wondering Wednesday this week
I wonder what's the stupidest thing you used to say
to "justify" your smoking,,,,
I have a two equally stupid statements
that I used to "spout" often,,,,
1. I used to tell my son to put a carton of cigarettes
and a fresh lighter in my coffin just before they
shut it, in case I woke up....
(I guess I was confirming that I would never quit)
2. I used to proclaim loudly,,,that...
"Smoking is the only exercise my lungs get"
I guess smoking wasn't the only stupidity
that I was guilty of
Now,,,,I have 1576 days without as much as 1 puff
that is 3,152 packs of cigarettes not smoked
that is over 63,000 cigarettes not smoked
So,,,,,as stupid as I was in my words and deeds
I made up for it with my actions in the past 1576 days
stay strong,,,,,you can do this

quit date--Dec 26, 2007
hold on tight to your dream,,,,

one thing I did that seems really dumb is the busier I was the MORE I smoked...I never or rarely ENJOYED a cig and when I was relaxed and chill...I didn't want to smoke...that is dumb and smoking is dumb!
Another dumb thing this I did say alot was that I really hated just about everything to do w/smoking...that would just make me so irritated because if I hated it so much why was it so hard or seemed so difficult to stop!!
There is nothing smart about addiction...NOTHING!
