Yes, it is difficult for me to say NO to any request, and today would be a good point of illustration. I started by getting up at 4:30 a.m. to take my friend Marie to the NYC bus, and now I did quit dates & Mapquest. Soon I will out doing extensive shopping for a woman in a wheelchair here --- 2 banks, 3 or 4 stores, mailing by UPS, long detailed notes -- -and then coming back to take R. (who I care for daily with eye drops, helping prepare her meals etc.) to the eye doctor about 25 miles away, and then it will be back to pick up Marie & take her to 2 banks and then come home and hopefully relaxing, though there is always my daughter and grandson to contend with.
As for the exercise, I have a complication that is keeping me out of the gym. I have developed -- over the past 6 months or longer -- a pretty bad case of carpel tunnel. I wear a brace at night on the right hand, have to find one for the left hand that is as good. I must avoid repetitive motion and holding on tight to the recumbent bike so I can go fast may have been what has brought this on so swiftly. Some people could bike without holding on but I can not. Ditto for the treadmill. When carpel tunnel gets bad, as it has this week, it becomes hard to use your hands at all. They can develop a sense of "not being there" dead to the world. I can't turn pages well my fingers won't do it. So it is greatly concerning me.
By the way, my Bi-pap mask is for sleep apnea, not sleep deprivation. I never had any trouble sleeping which is why I resisted being tested for so long. But I do have sleep apnea severely it turns out, and while the mask handles the apnea nicely, it does nothing for the low oxygen reading at night -- hence the O2 added to the mask.
So just wanted to let you know, I am trying to keep all in balance and I am not avoiding exercise out of laziness, but concern. I can still swim which is good for the body altogether.
Off to this day! Salud!

and again I get tired just reading about all you will be doing today. Good you are taking care of yourself and you know what to do when so you don't further injure yourself.

I've had terrible carpel tunnel for more than 10 yrs...had joint replacement in my rt thumb and carpel tunnel surgery (all at the same time mind you on my birthday bout 8 yrs ago) and it's returned w/a vengeance and now my left thumb has severe arthritis....so yeah I understand the hands dilema. I drop things alot, very easily and my hands pretty much hurt all the time from mild to severe...tylenol arthritis helps and the braces and ice when it gets real bad...I'de like to have surgery again...but it's not bad enough according to the last neurolagist who zapped me....ewww is that ever horrid. hollyo

SLOW DOWN!!!!
You make me tired just reading your post! Are you over doing it? I'm glad you're staying busy, but YOU are most important! Is there any way to take a day or two off for just yourself? Use that time to rest and regroup again?
Wish you were here to cook for me now. I'm starving! The only thing I want to eat is celery sticks with peanut butter. Stuck in this darn hotel room though so I won't be eating that this evening! LOL
Hang in there and PLEASE look after YOU! Love you dearly!
