Kinda of a quiet day in thought. A person I grew up with died yester of stomach cancer, he smoked a pack/day then switched to chewing which is what they say caused it. What a horrible way to die. He couldn't eat anything for months because they took out his stomach. He was 3 years younger then I. His family goes to our church and they have all looked so sad and stressed for several months.
Just makes me all that more strong with my quit so for that I thank you Tom. I WILL NEVER TOUCH ANOTHER CIGARETTE OR ANYTHING TO DO WITH SMOKING CHEWING (YUCK DISGUSTING) AGAIN. I don't have any desire to be around anyone who does. Life is so short. I am signed up for another 5K next Friday for the Illinois Marathon. Doing zumba 3 nights a week. I feel very strong and prepared to beat my time from last year. I thank the Lord that I have quit and feel so good now.
That hell week (weeks) at the beginning is nothing once you get past it. All that is needed is to just keep moving forward no matter how hard it gets, because just when you think it can't get any harder it will start to get easier. And you never know when that day might be so NEVER GIVE UP.
Your peace will find you and its an awesome feeling. That gross disgusting life as a smoker is history. We stunk no matter how hard we think we might be disguising it. We could not breath well no mater how much we thought we could. We could not taste the great taste of some food even when we thought we could. Everything becomes so much better, clearer, easier its unbelievable. Don't waste another day thinking you can't do it. We all know you can.

on t.v. recently about the effects of smoking.
I'm very glad they are doing that now.
Wish they had started them sooner.
