Hello Harper - you are actually allowed to be in as pissy a mood as you can muster up !

Stress is THE hardest thing to learn  to deal with in your quit- I found a list of things to do INSTEAD of smoking , kept at the ready a great tool---

that way you can just whip out the list and follow it instead of trying to figure out how to handle the stress at that time....its a good plan!

there is nothing wrong with you
you have reached for a cigarette for many years,
every time something went right,
every time something went wrong
every time something went up
every time something went down
every time something went sideways
every time something went over
and everytime something went under

so,,,,it's a habit,,,,fueled by the fact that you are addicted
so, as we talked about the other day
stay strong,,,,protect your quit

you can do this

quit date--Dec 26, 2007
hold on tight to your dream,,,,

Nothing's wrong with you, stress of the unknown is one of the worst kinds.  I love this to do list idea.  I've been doing a bit of the same and wow some little "I'll do it later projects" are getting done.  Never really thought about how much time I wasted smoking.

as all above me said
love Kathy's list idea
love Peter's it's a habit
love that tvcar said stress of the unknown is the worse kind of stress
and of course... LOVE...Italiaprincess says Shopping!
around here you can't smoke in the malls
so window shopping with a friend can be a lot of fun

all is true
we need to form new habits
we need to have new ideas of how to relax

you are doing great
remember

When you first quit, you will try anything to negotiate a smoke.  That's the process.  SHOUT STOP!!! and move on.  Nothing is wrong with you.  You are on your way to a successful quit, if you allow yourself that.
The first two weeks of your quit will be the hardest thing you do in your life unless you must quit again. Not one puff! --Janet--
